Wynnum Manly Yacht Club

With multiple stakeholders, club representatives, marina delegates, government involvement and within a delicate environmental area such as the Manly Boat Harbour, methodology and safety were the primary concerns throughout a multi-staged project, including major upgrades to the marina fire, water and electrical services. Construction of the new retaining wall adjacent the waters edge set the border of a new entertaining and members area, complete with outdoor kitchen, arbours, children’s play area, balustrading, and multiple additions to the bar and service facilities.

The club reaped the benefits of construction management, where contingencies were saved and used in other areas to maximise the renovation opportunity and to ‘make money work’.
